A training collaboration that takes you from a beginner to an advanced practitioner
Together with other members of the Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Collaborative, Epione Therapy Training develops and provides training that take trainees seamlessly through all stages of training. You can start training with us at our entry level, or alternatively at a more advanced stage if you have taken comparable training elsewhere.
Where are you currently on your journey?
Integrated Counselling Skills for Practitioners - Level 2 and 3
The starting point unless you have previously taken counselling training, is the Integrated Counselling Skills for Practitioners. This course combines the Level 2 Introduction to Counselling and the Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills courses, and is written in-line with the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Counselling and Psychotherapy. It is a 1 year course (excluding school holidays), starting annually in September, and delivered in both Deal and Hythe.

Core Training
(Qualified Counsellor Training)
Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling - Level 5
This is the course you need to complete in order to become recognised as a qualified counsellor, registered in the UK with a professional body that holds a Professional Standards Authority register. The Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling is a level 5 course, fully accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). It is a 2 year course (excluding school holidays), starting annually in September, and delivered in both Deal and Hythe.

Specialist trainings
Diploma in Advanced Psychotherapeutic Counselling - Level 6
This training supports the acquisition of knowledge, skills and training hours required for qualified counsellors wishing to apply to their professional body for recognition as an advanced counsellor, registered under SCoPED column B. The Diploma in Advanced Psychotherapeutic Counselling is a level 6 course, with a core modality of Transactional Analysis with other theoretical approaches as comparative models.
It is a 1 year course (excluding school holidays), starting annually in September, and is a blended learning course with a number of Saturday classes in-person in Hythe, and some weekday evening classes online.

Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy - Level 7

Diploma in Supervision for Psychotherapeutic Practice - Level 6
This training encourages a compassionate approach underpinned by an integrative methodology to develop Supervisors who act with integrity, whilst avoiding top-down models of power within the supervisory relationship. In addition to developing a robust supervisory framework, participants are encouraged to integrate their own theoretical lens, experience and professional insight throughout the training, promoting ownership and the synthesis of existing knowledge and skills.
