Epione Therapy, Training, Supervision

Welcome
Guiding your learning journey
We teach through creative, active engagement with lots of experiential learning. Trainings are academically robust and stretch students, whilst developing skills to create the necessary professional competencies. Personal growth is supported as students work together to grow sufficient emotional fluency and psychological integration.
We are committed to offering a supportive environment. Our philosophy includes a belief that people learn best when in a warm, respectful, atmosphere, where challenges are manageable and people feel emotionally safe.
We are passionate about building an ardent, diverse community of counsellors who consider and care about equality, equity, and liberty, and support themselves and others to live accountable, autonomous, enjoyable lives.

Welcome to Epione Therapy Training. We hope you will find training with us transformative and empowering, both for yourself and in supporting others, to live well.
Epione Therapy Training is part of the Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Collaborative (CPTC) based in East Kent. We offer in-person and online trainings, taking people from beginnings to advanced level counselling, along a unique training pathway.
We have designed our trainings to hold our trainees' experiences at the heart of what we do. In particular, we aim to recognise and support each person's intersectional identity and learning needs. We are neurodiversity-aware, and embrace students from all backgrounds and the LGBTQ community.
Small training groups
We only deliver our training days to small groups. Your training experience matters and we recognise that large groups can cause difficulties for some - including tutors who can become overloaded. Small groups provide the opportunity for an intimate experience more aligned to the counselling experience.
In smaller groups tutors can provide more tailored feedback as they know their trainees well and have the time to engage with everyone in a meaningful way.
Unique curriculum
There are many off-the-shelf courses from awarding bodies, that training providers can run. However, like universities, we design and teach our own courses. Our courses have curriculums we are passionate about, that not only meet the professional body's standards, but also encourage critical thinking, and embrace recognised contemporary approaches to therapy.
We account for learner's experiences and needs and whilst assessment must be rigorous and robust, we believe it should also be as inclusive as possible and not excessive.
Relational style
As a training collaboration, all trainers are committed to providing a safe, held, respectful training environment where everyone's voice is valued. We pride ourselves in creating a relaxed, comfortable yet stimulating environment, where students feel safe to explore, participate, experiment and learn together
Values led
Being part of the values-led Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Collaborative means ethical standards and social justice are cornerstones of our work. We aim to work with integrity to encourage and empower a respectful community. We recognise, value and are supportive of diversity and difference. Quality matters.
